I don't know of anyone who could have done the job better than Rumsfeld.

Well, William (Billy) can kiss where the sun don't shine.
I don't see how Mr. Rumsfeld has been a liability. These things would have happened in some form as they did anyway.
Actually, I'm surprised more "bad" hasn't happened.
So keep the Secretary in place.

Just another way to pick at Bush. I grow weary of the games. Gatorade, anyone?

Thanks...hopefully it'll help. Screaming at the monitor and scaring the kitty doesn't do much. I've sent him an email of support as I did during the overhyped "prison scandal". I think maybe I'll write a real letter and continue to keep him in my prayers!

Heh... He can be Jack of Asses, which would suggest also that he's a RINO...

It will not escape many that this gleeful attack on Rumsfield is a thinly disguised attack on Bush and on conservative thought. Citing an extremist like Kristol as if he speaks for conservatives is silly. This sums out to more Anti America rhetoric that you and several dedicated others are intently and regularly engaged in.

Yeah. As if Kristol could. Donald Rumsfeld is the best Secretary of Defense this country has had in a long, long time.

Amen, Scott. Kristol had better not set foot anywhere near Bullhead City. These REAL 'Pubs out here carry guns in their pickups...and shoot rodents alongside the dirt roads on their way to Church!!
Kristol wouldn't last past 7:00 AM! And, I say --good riddance!

Rumsfeld's civilian colleagues at the Pentagon are furious because they consider Kristol a manipulative political operative, critiquing the war in Iraq after years of promoting it.Hmm....

I agree!
But Billy ought to just go to hell----Rumsfeld is a breath of fresh air after the likes of Cohen and the Klintonistas.
Being the SECDEF isn't a job for a weenie---ever notice that the MSM forgets to mention that Rummy flew Carrier planes? Give me rough and gruff over personality (though actually R is a pretty cool dude) anytime!

Kristol is also backing his hero McCain..He whines, he pouts, he supports Bush, then stabs him in the back. Rumsfield is the President's pick..
Novak did not want to go to war...

My favorite after the Kristol story broke..Brit Hume to Kristol on Fox news Sunday Morning addressed Bill as Gen. Kristol.

Given a war to conduct, whom would you trust to do it?
Donald Rumsfeld? Or William Kristol?
Or why don't we make that question just a little bit more specific. Which pair would you trust to do it?
George W. Bush and Donald Rumsfeld?
Or John McCain and William Kristol?
Makes it even easier, don't it...???
