Just on - a suicide bomber not a rocket or mortar attack!
Ja; OK Mate; have it your way then.
Re your #139;
Well HOO-Rah, then!
Where do we meet for practice?
{;^{D~
Now what would ever make you say that? /sarcasm
From my previous deployments you'd be amazed how much access the locals have to everything, just amazing. I'm surprised only that it took so long. Another I don't frigging undersstand: with daily mortar attacks, why is the mess hall after 2 years in a tent and not a hardened structure with a sandbagged roof?
Why M-16s? They all own perfectly good AKs, they're primed and ready for a bit of self population control, we're just holding them back.
You can count me in too Uncle Jaque.
Your military kids are warriors, mate, not fly by nighters who only show up when it is safe to do so..want some perspective?..I heard that usually over 45000 americans are killed on your highways each year from alcohol related driving offences...sorry 20 regrettable deaths by cowardle Islamic radical vermin is not a good reason to reteat into shameful isolationism[they'll come to the USA to destroy, make no mistake..this is the truth]...your military are the real deal and they are fighting a war...pulling them out of Iraq will not stop that war...sorry but you are so out of sorts here that your post sounds almost irrational..you want your country to "lose" like it "lost" in Vietnam and thereby destroy the moral and self respect of another generation..then pullout and face the music Tokyo Joe
I am sorry. I don't mean to add fuel to the fire, but...
"Maybe NOT LET PEOPLE WEAR EXPLOSIVE BELTS ANYWHERE NEAR THE PERIMETER OF THE BASE."
You have got to be kidding. You think they saw a guy with an explosive belt and gave him the all clear to wonder around the base? Or anywhere else?
What the heck, do you think they are idiots? Good grief.
Friend of mine stationed in Mosul emailed me this morning, they think it was one of the Iraqi National Guardsmen who was the suicide bomber. They are in among the US troops everywhere. They seem to think this guy infiltrated the Iraqi guard and went in with a suicide belt on.
i see. what we have is a big talker here. sure BC-street boy, whatever. whatever you say.
You are not alone in hearing this.
"We are too nice"
Exactomundo.
I'm tired of seeing our military getting killed over there because we don't won't to offend the PC crowd, the Euroweenies, and the "arab street".
Get it over with. Both barrels. Both fists. Fallujah should've been wiped out. (along with that poster boy for bad dental hygeine-that mad mullah, imam, or whatever he is)
Either full forces in, scorched earth with total, immediate victory as objective, even if total obliteration of the enemy with significant collateral, or get the hell completely OUT. No more no win wars for America...no more young Americans sacrificed for political correctness and inept Pentagon bureaucrats' mistakes.
I thought we learned our lesson in the Nam. Guess not.
I like you had been for the levelling of Fallujah, if necessary, within three days of those contractors' murders six months ago. How many Americans have died in F-town or in the Triangle since then?
Ah, geez. Now you've done it. You're gonna get on the 'bots and free traitors bad side, talking like that.
I don't think we should get out right now. That makes no sense since we have a vested interest in not wussing, in at least giving the country a shot to get going, if we want to really look like we give a damn about preventing future state-sponsored terrorism out of Iraq. We gave Japan and Germany much longer to stabilize, and they were less vital to us than Iraq is. But I do think that after the election, where we end up should be outta there ASAP. Nobody disagrees on that front, I hope.
We are in complete agreement. This eliminates the problem of "innocent civilian" casualties and pinpoints the evil doers and their handlers/enablers. It does not necessarily root out those who are forced by virtue of kidnapping or intimidation of some kind, although I would say there needs to be some kind of solution for that one as well.
"I wonder if we had an Islamic-American turncoat in the ranks..."
Very, very possible.
Why do we let them into our Christian country, in the first place?
Wrong..big thinker, not big talker Tokyo Joe
That's another thing--
"Turncoats" should be shot on the spot. Remember the Arab mentality too about the "strong horse". Remember Gen Pershing's taking care of a little Muslim "revolt" in the Phillippines.
Dip our bullets in pigs' blood if we have to. (the least we can do)
