The flamable part of the lighter fluid evaporates and yer left with a really fine residue that is a POL non flammable base that is perfect form minimal artic needs for lube that won't let the action freeze or jam up.

Don't fall for the lighter fluid story! I remember the last time Squantos and Eaker had one of their famous "Maw Luvved Me Best" arguements, Squantos cleaned his M1 with lighter fluid.

Of course in that family, it's all considered good fun.
