"Why are evolutionists so afraid of losing the monopoly on minds?"

Not afraid of losing any monoploy on minds.

Very afraid of slipping back into the Dark Ages of superstition and belief while others build sophisticated weapons with solid scientific knowledge.

"Very afraid of slipping back into the Dark Ages of superstition and belief while others build sophisticated weapons with solid scientific knowledge."

That is pure sophistry. Evolutionary theory had no effect on the production of atomic power. Einstein himself could probably be called an ID proponent, to some extent.

The dark ages arguement is nonsense. In fact it is the very kind of arguement Dems use all the time on things like homosexuality, etc.

Isn't the belief in superstitions, that is, an unproven theory, going back to the dark ages? If we are to move forward, should we not have honest debate?

It has been demonstrated that Christianity was foundationally responsible for the Enlightenment because we construed reality built up and designed by an orderly God such that order COULD BE DISCOVERED.
