That is pure sophistry. Evolutionary theory had no effect on the production of atomic power. Einstein himself could probably be called an ID proponent, to some extent.
The dark ages arguement is nonsense. In fact it is the very kind of arguement Dems use all the time on things like homosexuality, etc.

The comparison is between beliefs ( religion) and facts (science), not between biology and physics.
Not directly, but the exact same physical principles used to produce atomic power lead to the conclusion that the Earth is about 4,500,000,000 years old. Creationists deny physics as well as geology and biology.
