Laura Bush is getting another Oscar.
Designer Oscar de la Renta, who outfitted the First Lady for her big nights at the Republican convention and the Kennedy Center Honors, will dress her for the inauguration.
Her office confirms the incredibly important news that the gown will be ice blue.
Meanwhile, daughters Jenna and Barbara have chosen the younger, edgier design team of Badgely Mischka.
"They want slinky and sexy," a spy tells us. "The dresses are going to be figure-hugging with slits and sequins and decolletage."
All of the ladies will be equipped with matching coats - to protect them as they bounce around from ball to ball.

=== There are real men out there who will wed a woman and be faithful and loving.
Would you marry a "real man" who announces in public he thinks the Bush Twins are hot?
Serious question. Is there any age at which behavior like this becomes as unseemly as ... let's say ... middle-aged moralist women of the Virtue Party posting threads on how they're "lusting" after baby-faced boys whose battered dirty faces and cigarette only make them LOOK as if they're old enough to buy a mixed drink?
I can't back it up, because when you made that statement, I hit abuse on you and your comment was pulled and you were rightfully so, given a time out.
=== I think it reflects very well on the Bush family that the Bush daughters are taking real jobs, not relying on the family fortune (honorably earned, which I know you disagree with)
Hey now ... everyone knows "teaching" isn't "real job"
(ba-dump ching! I still can't get over how obvious was the Kerry push to tank their own election bid!)
If you think the Bush Family Fortune was honorably earned and suspect that I do not share that belief, perhaps you should post a thread where we can discuss it in depth with a particular view toward the Bush Family's collecting tribute from the sorts of industries and despotic nations which we "moral" types like to boycott as a rule.
I am married and my husband does not make comments about other women, including the Bush twins, being "hot".
I can agree that some comments can be silly or juvenile while not condemning the poster as gay or not manly or impugning the entire character of someone for remarks (I completely missed the cigarette commentary).
I think we got on this tangent because you were being given advice on dating? I hope you're not too cynical in finding the right guy, and I just think it's possible. But just because you disgree with others' comportment or style of speaking doesn't make them necessarily evil or bad people.
And this is news why?
Nobody understands a dang thing you say, probably not even you.
=== I can't back it up, because when you made that statement, I hit abuse on you and your comment was pulled and you were rightfully so, given a time out.
The comment wasn't pulled. It sat there for all to see such that the cheering and backslapping went on for another hundred posts or so.
Any explaining how the Mods got "Saddam Apologist" out of my questioning Rumsfeld's ENDANGERING our men by playing fast and loose with Geneva.
From the Amicus Curiae briefs filed by military officers in the Gitmo cases, looks like most agree with me that Rummy's playing a tough guy on TV could come back to burn the poor bastards hung out to dry as POWs.
Keep posting Askel.
Just keep the slams coming.
Your slip is just showing, showing and showing.
=== Nobody understands a dang thing you say, probably not even you.
Well ... I don't think this is anyone's fault, in particular.
It's only natural given the fact that we come from two different worlds entirely.
For example, in my world, "stem cell lines" are not just things but the product of Real Unique Human Lives snuffed out because they were excess manufacture and no longer needed once parents procured the child(ren) they purchased.
For others (and the Government, thanks to Bush's decision on ESCR), they are just clumps of cells and specifically non-persons until actually implanted by Choice.
That's a pretty wide gulf between understandings. A Person on one side. A clump of cells on the other.
It's only natural we don't quite jibe and have trouble communicating.
ROTFL
Well, unless you continue to ratchet the debate with another cheap shot, it's hard to have anything to slam against.
Lemme think a minute ...
Well, I think she looks hot in that slip.
Oops. I'm an unmanly gay, and my dirty face and cigarette make me look barely old enough to buy a drink... my bad.
The reader isn't the problem, Askel - don't flatter yourself. I have long been convinced that you speak in a language only dogs can hear.
You are from another world; that certainly is possible.
I REALLY wish you unmanly gays would stop oogling HOT women and just go CLAP YOUR HANDS.
=== I'm an unmanly gay,
Only if you're attracted to 40-year old women because they remind you of your mother.
=== and my dirty face and cigarette make me look barely old enough to buy a drink...
Then you're too young for me.
Transference doesn't work in this instance since I'm nearly twice as old as the Bush Twins. It's the spectacle of grown men getting the vapors over pix of Buffy the Vampire Slayer or the Bush Twins that's unseemly and sophmoric at best.
Hope that helps.
Yours,
Mrs. Robinson
=== I have long been convinced that you speak in a language only dogs can hear.
Interesting.
Have you ever read Doctor Rat?
Are you sure it is that and not the Big J?
Psst..I believe you spell it "s o p h o m o r i c"
=== You are from another world; that certainly is possible.
The boys at the Societe didn't call me "the Girl who Fell to Earth" for nothing ...
Bad Monkey! SPANK SPANK!
Damn ... I thought about correcting the spelling but figured who cares. None of these folks can understand what I'm saying anyway.
The Big J?
