CBS has a new name on top of its list of poten tial replacement for Dan Rather Katie Couric.
According to Broadcasting & Cable magazine, CBS wants to "land a superstar to take over" for Rather and the "Today" show diva is its top choice.

If CBS was at all serious about maintaining shareholder value, they would announce that they are "Fair and Balanced" and clone the FoxNEWS operation. If they even made a token gesture toward moving to the right of center, they would land half the news market over night. And in a three way race, half the market is an outright win.
