"Yes, he admitted to his addiction; after two unsuccessful attempts to dry out, and the circumstance of someone else about to blow the whistle on him."
Close, but he admitted it only AFTER they blew the whistle on him.
OCT 2 2003 - Enquirer article comes out -
Rush responds "I don't know what I'm dealing with, folks."

When were the search warrants executed?
What charges have been filed?
"When were the search warrants executed?"
The Warrants were executed on Dec 4 2003

"What charges have been filed?"
Charges have not been filed as the investigation has been stalled by the millions of dollars Rush has spent on his criminal lawyer.
The delay of his latest appeal has pushed the date back to Jan 20th.

Get back to me, why don't you, when Mr. Limbaugh is convicted of anything. Until then, he's innocent.
Truthfully, I have only one dog in this hunt:
Conservative icons, whether they are your particular flavor or not, are under attack by the mainstream media and partisan press. I will not participate in such an attack. If there are some liberals, like Al Franken for instance, who hate Rush Limbaugh, that's good enough for me to support him.
I'm halfway interested in knowing why you are jumping on the "Rush is a Criminal Doper" bandwagon. I say halfway, because I really don't care that much why you're doing it.
There's an interesting thread up now about the mixed message many pain specialists are getting from the DEA, I've posted to it. Criminalizing doctors and patients for adequate pain treatment leaves EVERY American vulnerable to disabling, untreated, chronic pain.
"Get back to me, why don't you, when Mr. Limbaugh is convicted of anything. Until then, he's innocent."
O.J. was not convicted - both Rush and I think he is guilty
"why you are jumping on the "Rush is a Criminal Doper" bandwagon"
No problem - because like OJ and Clinton, I believe the information presented so far and the actions of the perp show guilt.
"Criminalizing doctors and patients for adequate pain treatment..." But that is not the case here -
Limbaugh hastened to add, however, that the pain was only a contributing factor, not the primary cause, of his addiction, telling his audience: "I took the drugs because I liked them and I found excuses to take them, so I'm not weaseling.

You have your opinion, I have mine. I've already stated it. Nothing you have posted has changed my position.
"Nothing you have posted has changed my position."
I provide, you decide -
There are many here who act like the Congresssional Democrats during the Clinton trial, keeping their eyes closed to the truth in order to protect "their guy".
It's shamefull no matter which side it happens on.
I agree with you wholeheartedly. I have never seen this solitas person post before, but I am familair with the extreme hated RS has for Rush. I am wondering if they are the same person. At any rate, their comments are filled with assumptions, inuendoes and just personal hatred for Rush. I say to hell with them.
Kinda bizarre, isn't it? ;-D
i'd like for other talkshowhosts to carry rush's water once in a while
