Its not the students being taped that the school objected too. This is not the first class that has been kept secret from parents. There used to be one in CA that was intended to help Teenagers adjust to society. What it turned out to be was a course on how to rebel against your parents. The children had to take an oath before the class started that they could not indulge anything that was said or took place during the class. This class only lasted a year or so and was finally abandoned after enough parents raisd cane about it. We do not have a secret society here. There is nothing that should not be allowed to be taped in a public school. If there is, you should start asking questions, the primary one being Why????
"There is nothing that should not be allowed to be taped in a public school."
Well, I think the locker rooms ought to be off-limits. However, you make a point. Perhaps everything that happens at public schools should be videotaped. Classrooms, hallways, offices. Of course, I don't know who'd watch the tapes. Sounds pretty boring to me.
OTOH, maybe they could broadcast them on one of the public access channels, 24/7. That would be interesting.
