"Admit it - your claim that most hackers are Mac users is stupid, and absurd."
Friend of mine who works for Apple at their Elk Grove - Laguna site in AppleCare says most Apple users are stupid and absurd.
I've turned down three offers from Apple to work at that facility and I don't regret it. They have layoffs with the change of seasons.
They may not be a dying firm, but they are far from being a healthy firm.
And if, in the highly unlikely event they get a significant market share, their business practices make them ripe for an anti-trust suit. Apple actually does the things Microsoft was accused of - it's just Apple is insignificant in terms of market share.
If Apple belly-ups tommorow Apple owners are hosed. Packard-Bell owners can still buy PC parts of the shelf at Fry's. Hell, I can get stuff for my TR-80 and my Altair at Fry's.
But my Lisa sits darkened without hope because Apple will not license parts they don't make anymore.
Most Mac users never have to call Apple. Their computers just work.

Somehow, Apple offering a non-Mac user a job three times and being turned down three times just doesn't make my list of all time believable things. Like any other place, you make an application for employment. Did you apply three times merely so you could have the pleasure of turning them down? I doubt it.
1... Your statement has nothing at all to do with mine.
2... Basing opinions of customers on tech support war stories is hardly sensible.
