Can't say I like Aiken's music, but it's just not my style. I appreciate him trying to maintain a clean image and, from what I've seen, being an all-around decent guy.

Thanks for the recommendation - I'm a fan of Clay's........... but if you can even carry a tune at all, American Idol might drive you crazy......... I enjoy the show but it can grate on you horribly!

Each season there are only a very few kids with real talent - the others are there just to fill in the space....... and it hurts, literally, to listen to them sing.

I'm addicted to Rebecca St. James's rendition of Sweet Little Jesus Boy, and SheDaisy's Hark The Herald Angels Sing/Carol of the Bells. I play them every day.

I've heard a lot about that CD and will have to check it out. Here's another recommendation:Christmas Spirit

I got it just a few weeks ago and it is one the best Christmas albums -- and it is fairly inexpensive, too. Good covers of classic songs, plus a few originals. There are links to listen to samples of all of the tracks.

I was like you....never had seen American Idol, but had heard of Clay just through the news.

Then the night of his Christmas TV special, I just happened across his show while changing channels. Decided to stop and see what he was about. What a pleasant surprise! He's got a great voice, and the entire TV show was the best thing I've seen on TV in months. Very clean, great songs, great singers.

Yes, I'm really impressed with Clay's voice. I plan on getting his Christmas CD through I-Tunes.

I'm not that crazy about his "pop" CD's. His voice is just too good---he should leave that crummy-sounding music alone and just sing classier stuff, like the Standards from the 40's, or Broadway, or maybe try jazz. I think his voice fits those genres much better. Few "pop" songs nowadays are quality enough for great singers, except for maybe the slow songs.

Clay is okay, but nobody does "Oh Holy Night" like Josh Groban.

I need a new Christmas CD for the drive from Dallas to Ft.Smith so I think I'll pick it up. He seems a nice enough kid, But he needs a haircut though.
