NEW YORK A coalition of liberal political groups is launching a nationwide protest against Sinclair Broadcast Group, charging that the TV broadcaster, which was also the target of intense criticism during the presidential campaign, is misusing public airwaves with partisan news programming.
The groups, led by Media Matters for America, today will announce a campaign to pressure Sinclair's advertisers with letters. The groups, however, are stopping short of demanding an advertiser boycott.
The campaign is one of the first broad attempts to re-energize liberal political activists in the wake of the Democrats' defeat in November.

No the constitution only applies to those who use forged documents and put it out as news, silly.
But from the Liberal side.....it is a Living document that can be interpreted as needed............
And liberals always seem to have plenty of time to write and send letters. They need real jobs.
(Unlike us Freepers who have time to post a lot...)
:)
I wonder what their feelings about CBS are?
I guess free speech doesn't apply to anyone who isn't a left wing, socialist, liberal idiot.
They really need to get a life. I have never seen so many desperate people in all my life.
The groups, led by Media Matters for America, (in their effort to silence the truth) today will announce a campaign to pressure Sinclair's advertisers..........
Loved those links on yer homepage BJ, thanks, ROTFL, I got lost in there for a while, seriesly.
Maybe we should follow there Lead an form our own coalition against CBS, ABC, NBC and CNN for not Fully covering the Iraqi War and using the airways for political purposes. Tit for Tat!

Sirius-ly!
Well of course it is. If it wasn't, then it would include some kind of provision for amending it.
Oh, wait....
I keep on my blog a list of the 85 Senators and Congressmen (all Democrats) that signed the letter to the FCC requesting the suspension of Sinclair's broadcasting license for attempting to broadcast Stolen Honor. I keep posting it every month to keep this issue on the forefront.
I intend to use this list in the future any time one of them runs for re-election. These A$$HOLES attempted to suppress the free speach rights of decorated Vietnam veterans and POWs. Their liberal goon squad succeeded in intimidating Sinclair stockholders into watering down the Stolen Honor show until it was essentially useless.
Never forget, never forgive these scumbags:

Thanks . . . slightly different title . . . this is for the afternoon and evening people, i.e., we are not morning people!
~ping~
Thanks. I see the local oldies but not so goodies -- Feinstein and Waxman -- they are truly ill.
Now they have few allies and lots of rabid libs after them- who were not satisfied when Sinclair fell on their sword.
Lesson for Sinclair is stand for you you believe in and weather the storm.
Right on. Tough lesson.
Gone, gone, gone! Thank God in Heaven! Replaced by a Republican.
No prob. I like holding on to special threads.
