MoveOn.org to the democratic Party: We Own You
In a December 9th e-mail signed by Eli Pariser, Justin Ruben, and the whole MoveOn PAC team, the Soros front group stated: In the last year, grassroots contributors like us gave more than $300 million to the Kerry campaign and the DNC, and proved that the Party doesn't need corporate cash to be competitive. Now it's our Party: we bought it, we own it, and we're going to take it back.
This is extremely dangerous for America. Not only does it signal a dramatic shift to the left for the Democratic party, it also could be an end to a much needed balance of power in the U.S. political arena. Fortunately, a progressive platform will most likely scare off most voters so MoveOn gaining real power is slim to none. But in doing so, that leaves only the GOP. While I'm all in favor of the GOP, I don't want a tyranny of the right just as I don't want a tyranny of the left. With less opposition from the Democrats because of MoveOn's radical politics, that essentially leaves the GOP in charge. I'm sure many good things can come from an unopposed rightist government, after all, all tyrants have their supporters. Government, however, is the problem, not the solution. Therefore, I don't want MoveOn to own the left wing of the American political spectrum thus effectively ending all checks and balances.
To be alarmist, I do believe that MoveOn is the most nefarious force in politics today. Their politics is down right socialist. Their website is little more than a cover for an anti-capitalist agenda. It's ironic considering their founders made their money during the dot.com boom and it is now funded by George Soros, the master of the international monetary game.
MoveOn is trying to make a sport of bashing corporate America, especially Fox News and other donors to right wings causes. The fact is, we know who the corporations are. They are publicly held companies that have to disclose a wide variety of information. MoveOn raised $300 million during the last election season. $18 million came from George Soros. We don't know where the remaining $282 million came from. In another words, we don't know who MoveOn is. As MoveOn moves the democratic party to the left, we don't know who is controlling it. Now that's scary.
This is going to get nasty. And I'm going to enjoy every minute of the bloodletting. Popcorn, anyone?
...and the downside is?
The inmates will really be in charge of the asylum then...
MoreOn.org will be the ultimate downfall of the Dems. There permanent place as a minority party will be assured because they think that the answer is to move the party farther left rather than following the American voter to the right.
Just remember the last time they spent all this money (Election 2004). What did it get them???? I agree that we have to work hard and keep our eyes on them...but the more left they move the Democratic party...the more out of the mainstream they are.
Note to self: seek refund on mudwrestling tickets; keep web browser pointed at DU site instead.
Can't think of one; it all looks very rosy from my viewpoint, p.
With the wacked-out inmates running the asylum, there'll be plenty of moderate and consevative dems jumping ship.
See my post #9.
They're going to be so far out of the mainstream, they'll need a new zipcode.
Four more years of lunacy and idiocy are more than I can handle, over at DU. My sides hurt from laughing everytime I lurk there. Hard to believe so much stupidity concentrated in one place.
No surprise here...
MoveOn.Org joins the ACLU as another major anti-christian organization. But this is good as the subterfuge is gone and the slimeballs are well in view.
You don't own me
I'm not just one of your many toys
You don't own me
Don't say I can't go with other boys
Don't tell me what to do
Don't tell me what to say
An' please, when I go out with you
Don't put me on display
You don't own me
Don't try to change me in anyway
You don't own me
Don't tie me down 'cause I'll never stay
I don't tell you what to say
I don't tell you what to do
So just let me be myself
That's all I ask of you
I'm young and I love to be young
I'm free and I love to be free
To live my life the way I want
To say and do whatever I please
You Don't Own Me
(Madara-White)
Why can't MoveOn just moveon?
Think of it as our own personal Comedy Channel.
One thing is for sure.. judging by the fast march of PC speech into all spheres of public life after the election.. they are intending to do what ever possible to push back.
It seems silly. I think this is about getting the right to over extend.
I was mystified by the coverage of the Intelligence reform bill.. before it passed.. the Reps holding out were being hard headed.. and there was no good reason for them to behave that way.. After it passed.. all of their arguments were hauled out as why the bill was actually bad law and shouldn't have been passed.
MSM hasn't gone out of business and these folks are still in the game.
Billionaires with chips on their shoulders are still power players.. rather than treating these folks with contempt.. I think some thought is warranted in speculating how these folks might try to get what they want, and more importantly how this can be exposed before it develops to fruition.
LOL! Next 4 years are gonna be a hoot.
