Guys, what kind of program (if any) can we run that will act as a deterent without having to run a program like adware or spybot at the end of each day?
These actions are reactionary....I want something that will be alert, something like a spyware version of Norton that catches them before they get on infected on your computer.
thanks

...."ff is very flawed, does not render pages correctly"...."Firefox is a piece of garbage and a fraud."
Those are very global statements. Why should we take the words of a couple of possible Gates infiltrators?
MS and Mozilla each have their strengths and weaknesses. You two and your global prattle is just as bad as what you condemn in the Mozilla cheerleaders.

ff is very flawed, does not render pages correctly, does not work with many forms, chat progs, vid embeds, the list goes on and on.LOL It's IE that is the least compliant browser. Microsoft is too lazy to get in line with CSS and HTML2 standards, and they figure they're big enough to make everyone comply with them. They're the most invulnerable browser since Netscape 3, you betcha.

Trend Micro PC-cillin. Anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall. Very nice combo and the price is great.

"LOL OK make your case"
Don't have to.

Mine was just to counter open soure propaganda.
BTW, IE rules.

What was once a decent site is now nothing but a whorehouse with Drudge as the head pimp.
O...M...G!
I quit going there a long time ago, but that post was really funny! ROTF!

No, they aren't perfect and they aren't invulnerable, but mine always sweeps clean. Surprises me, really.

We build corporate sites and we insist on IE as the browser to build against. We tested our sites against Firefox and, while it appears to be a functional browser, it just doesn't stretch to the levels we need. IE doesn't support certain items such as transparent pngs but firefox doesn't support xslt rendering. Also, firefox seems to mess up a lot of rendering that should be standard.
It's all a moot point, imo, since the whole html, javascript stuff is on its last legs. The browser wars are shifting and I think MS has a new one up its sleeve to support XAML.

IE IS the defacto standard.
Over 92% of Internet users and businesses worldwide use use it.
Its your little firefox that has to comply with IE standards, not the other way round.

Real question is: Are you one of the open source lunatics who keep spewing out anti-Microsoft hate every single day of their miserable lives?
To: KwasiOwusu
Haha, Kwasi go back to Redmond. You're either trying to keep FF all to yourself or have a whole lot invested in a firewall and anti-virus software.

I use Firefox 99 percent of the time, because of it's ad and popup blockers, so I don't know of the ad which you mention. If you see it again, try and get it's properties and send me a Freepmail.
We might can stop it, maybe not. My advice from the earlier post doesn't always work. They know what we're doing, and are always looking for ways to circumvent it. sigh We just have to keep at them too, right?
