Awesome photo of your dad!!! When the bomb dropped on Hiroshima my father was on a troop ship on his way to invade Japan. It's the only war story he ever told me, and he was in WW2, Korea and 3 tours of Vietnam in the USMC. He said that they were zig zagging across the Pacific for 80 days, and that they knew that the invasion of the Japanese mainland was their destination. His exact words were "they dropped the bomb, the war was over, and that was alright with your father!" That's been my opinion ever since.
I have a Japanese rifle that he got as a souvenir of war, which I inherited from him when he passed away in 1993.
It's hard to tell in that photo of your dad, but is he wearing just a pair of underwear? It looks like you can see tan lines where the underwear would end? Sorry to ask such a silly question. :)

You know,I have no idea.They could be underwear.My father brought back a Japanese luger,And the sword a Japanese officer.I let my brother have them.Then I looked on E-Bay and saw swords were going for a thousand bucks! My father did tell me he went swimming alot on that island,And what ever would work underwear,shorts I doubt you had to worry about the ladies seeing you
