WOW, look at those flames. They look not so paper-ery...I mean they look like the flames from 9-11 with a fuel source. what would be burning like that inside the building?

Floor-to-ceiling flames coming out of the window.

There is a lot of plastic stuff in offices that can do that. Desk tops, in baskets, etc.

You also have to remember that there are computers in every office on that floor - Plastic, wires, cords, etc...
From this laywoman's eyes I can't imagine how they are going to get this under control. As I stated earlier I just hope the structure remains sound. They call this the LaSalle Canyon and I can't imagine the damage to surrounding structures (not to mention the human toll) should this structure fail.
Many prayers for those injured, and those fighting the fire right now.

what would be burning like that inside the building? Carpet, furniture, paper, plastics, etc. If the floor was used for storage, there could be thousands of boxes full of paper which will burn for hours.

what would be burning like that inside the building? Carpet, underlayment, furniture, other fixtures have a lot of plastic in them. It burns smoky and then very hot.
