Kinda scary seeing all the firemen directly beneath the fire right now. I hope to God this building's structure remains sound.

The media director for LaSalle bank says there was a fire drill as recently as four weeks ago. He also stated that there were sprinklers throughout the building, he can't confirm whether they worked or not.

We did. (I work for the company.) We all had our fire drill within the last 4 weeks. I used to work on the 30th floor - there were NO SPRINKLERS in the area in which I worked, which was the SouthEAST corner of the 30th floor (which is now on fire.)

To my knowledge, sprinklers don't do didly till pumper trucks hook to the stand pipes down on the street...Can anyone here see that?
