And by the way, whether they invented the math they wrote of or not, if you've studied mathematics you'll know that 99% - 100% of work in the mathematical sciences is knowing and polishing what has been done before. Everything you do is putting together pieces that someone else has already studied in new and novel ways. The Arabs translated and learned math from the India, Greece and Asia and then extended and polished the methods they found. That's not less than what scientists do today. The reason they flourished then is that science was a way to know God. By understanding His creation, you came to know him. As a scientist, I think it's a beautiful way of looking at science. Shame they allowed it to be changed.
