These are "letters to the editor" by san Diego County residents. This is a demonstration of what has infiltrated into San Diego, and why these people will not get another Liberal elected.

Lots of ideas (Communism sounds great in theory!), very little sense of reality.

The political left always PREACHES they'll do more for education. People tend to act in best self interest.

Those who teach are left bias to begin with. Just as people who join the Army tend to be right to begin with. The political left allows for a lot of wiggle room in morals and interpretation of laws etc when it comes to drugs, sex and everything that many young and dumb experimenting kids want (Their teachers too).

The geniuses I have met barely have the patience to teach. They don't have the time. I don't see how any of them would consider being professors. I aint one of them, but I do learn from them.

I have someone who's walking me through some new techniques for our industry, I'm taking over some material he's been working with. Darn if the guy can't pull down from memory details from 6 months ago and remember 9,000 lines of detailed work. I work in different subject matter and can keep up, but it's wonderful to see a mind at work like that.

Anyway, wonderful to see God's handiwork in some people.

But college professor? This guy ain't the type. I can see him strangling someone asking him about some obscure fact that he could have picked up had he memorized the first 30 chapters of some tech manual.

Have these "men" been to college? What makes them think professors are especially intelligent?

I have, and I would not make such a hasty generalization about most professors.

Sure, there are a few outstanding professors, but many are just putting in time. Interestingly, the outstanding ones tended not to be doctrinaire liberals, at least from my observation.

They are liberal because they've never held any real jobs - never experienced real life before teaching (and couldn't). That does not hold true for all but for most.

I read these letters in the paper and thought about posting them but didn't because these idiots are so clueless.

They are the very non thinking robots that the government schools have been working so hard to produce for the last 30+ years.

They have bought the BS that professors spew hook line and sinker!

A wh*re should be judged by the same criteria as other professionals offering services for pay -- such as dentists, lawyers, hairdressers, physicians, plumbers, etc. Is she professionally competent? Does she give good measure? Is she honest with her clients?
It is possible that the percentage of honest and competent wh*res is higher than that of plumbers and much higher than that of lawyers. And enormously higher than that of professors.

"Intelligent"?? Not necessarily. In all too many cases, university professors are sluggards who specialized in some arcane, totally useless (in the working world) area and have no recourse but to remain in academia and pose as eggheads.

I've known plenty of college professors who knew positively zip outside of the latest sociological pap, or English lit, or some other totally useless nonsense. .

"Why professors are liberal: They're intelligent"

Yes, but can they tie their own shoelaces?

The author presupposes the lib profs are correct. This constant reinforcement (I'm smart and you're not) is needed with a failed ideology. You see, if you were smarter, you'd see what I mean. There's no examples of success to point to for verification - so they need to do a verbal dance.

The libs have a major problem in that there is no feedback or corrective actions to their failed policies.

IMHO those of particularly poor judgment take refuge behind a wall of degrees in their attempts to cope with reality...sort of a real world dyslexia....unfortunately this give them the opportunity to suck up Federal grant monies and corrupt budding minds....

as my Step-dad always says...one can be book smart, and common sense dumb. My take on liberals is this statement holds true most of the time!

There is also the adage about being educated beyond one's level of intelligence.....

A little more excerpted from Cliff Hanna:

It is also a time to reach further than your grasp, to seek new information and challenge long-held truths. In science, if existing theories are found to be in error, they are refined or new ones take their place. So it is with education. When processes from the past prove faulty in the present, they too are discarded, exchanged for new models that represent recent findings. Perhaps this is Will's strongest objection: that his ideas have outlived their relevance.

It is exactly the liberals failure to do what this bozo recommends for you and I that is the root cause of the slow but certain erosion of liberal political influence. It is, in fact, a demonstrable characteristic of conservative thinking that it continuously analyzes the past looking and learning from the mistakes that have been made by humankind and working to avoid repeating those mistakes.

Liberals do not do this.

The easy proof of this is that they continue to ignore the great political lesson of the 20th Century: "Socialism Doesn't Work". It would be interesting to hear about the "recent findings" that Mr. Hanna refers to. You can be fairly certain that his new findings and "new models" will involve using your money for the things he wants to do. That is not new. Hundreds of millions died to test out that idea over the last 100 years and we know the answer.

Wake up, Mr. Hanna.

Professors who don't get research grants awarded, don't get tenure

Look at where the research grant money comes from, and what your attitude needs to be in order to get the favor of the grant awarding committee, and you have your answer
