I did some searching, after reading yours...and found the URL pasted below. This guy claims to the the author (probably true, but who knows)..., but the part that I found most intruiging (and yet, realkly not) was how he claims that it was written on (or around) December 7th, 2000!
So, it shows that (all at the same time) it does and does not have to do with OIF, but rather is about our servicemen & women in general (especially while serving abroad, on Christmas)! That was what made this little poem even more precious to me... :)
