I have looked in the charter, articles and bylaws of the UN and I can't find where that is written. I do believe you, but I want to see it in the charter or something. And, who's to say that the UN just doesn't amend the charter.

And, what if Clinton renounces his citizenship? Would he qualify then?

"Keep an eye on Jay Rockefeller. When he starts to go ballistic over this issue..."

Do you have any reason to believe that Jay Rockefeller cares about this issue, or would criticize the UN?

Klinton has all the requirements too..Anti American , socialist , crook , womanizer . Ever see those holy Muslims loose in NY City after a UN meeting . I have ..Best nightclubs, call girls , lots of coke and massive bar tabs.Next day , back to facing Mecca. This is the truth by the way ....Move the UN to Iceland and see who shows up for work anymore..Half of them are there for the NY City night life.

This organization tries its best to work against the U.S. every way they can. They have an agenda that is totally against everything that we stand for. All the while taking our money.

I find it a bit ironic that the oil for food crime was only found because we went to Iraq (although it was probably suspected before that). We are freeing millions of people from torture and fear, people who never saw a dime of the money that was supposed to go to THEM. We're finding plenty of WMD, alright! Oh.... lookee here! The U.N. has it's own weapon! Fancy that!

"He reminds me of Terry McCollough(sp) former chairman of the DNC."

That's Terry "McAuliffe", present head of the DNC.

Try to stay current.

I was told this by the tour guide at the UN when I visited New York some years back -- maybe she was wrong.

there is only one thing that could fix the united nations would be to kick out all representitives from states with dictatorships, kings, or any other non democratic form of leadership. then make subject the officials to stringent anti-corruption measures including monitoring their lifestyles and all money given to them for anything.

There is no way on earth that the UN member nations will EVER agree to elect an American as Secretary General.

At least not a loyal American........but maybe slick willy would be considered by the UN member nations.

Hmmm.... YOu may be on to something...

I've been trying to finger out how we can get *out* of that infernal, used up, useless, has-been, obsolete, washed out, POS organization in a "graceful" manner.

Just resigning won't work; it's too much of a political hot potato. I've been thinking maybe we could get them to throw us out... but even that would cause headaches for a sitting President.

What we need is a incremental, gradualist solution - and your suggestion here may just be the beginning of one. If we can set a precedent for not funding them at some point, then we can build on the precedent and eventually cut their water off... maybe...

(I can dream, can't I?)

WHO IS THIS GUY, and how did he become Sec Gen? What could be so threatening that the U.S. wimps out at the thought confronting the massive oil-for-food corruption? What am I missing?

You know, when you have incompetant foolish jackass loser leaders like Kofi MF'n Annan, they are much easier to keep track of and his loose lips probably relayed so much easy information for the US intelligence services to get that he still doesn't understand that we continue to recieve classified info about the world dictators that he and his son supports. In other words, he is a dupe-sucker.

You are correct, it is not a wriiten rule, and there is nothing in the rules to prevent it.

However, there is an "understanding" that such an event is unnaceptable to the General Assembly, which actually confirms the SG.

And I don't like it one little bit.

As for clinton (small c) becoming our nominee, that is just a fable running around the net, and proobably promoted by the MSM, as well.

There would be zero benefit to this administration to giving clinton a world stage and bully pulpit to bash president Bush, and to prepare for his return to the White House.

Yes, I wrote "his," since, IMO, that is the major driving force behind her eventual run.
And all of the dims and the MSM will hail his return as the 2nd coming of the Messiah.

Does anyone know how much money total we have dumped into the UN since its inception?
