Well, I know I could probably coordinate the metro with you guys, but I can't figure out a way to get to niece's house without going around the Beltway, since I would be coming from the West. I could go the long way around by going to Virginia and drive north. Let me cogitate on that for awhile. I'll check out your motel map and see how close apart we will be.
That's a good idea. If everyone gets together us newbies won't get totally lost. As time gets closer probably everyone can designate meeting places and you seasoned FReepers can let us know who you are somehow. By seasoned, I mean those who have been on here a long time, not referring to age. :)
Okay, I've located your motel and my niece's place. You are just off I-495 at S. Van Dorn, and Van Dorn crosses Franconia. Niece lives east of Silver Springs and just South of Franconia. Doesn't look too far. I know when I was there before we took the Metro which was about a mile from her house. Don't recall which one it was, but can find it I'm sure. I'm going to see if I can finagle the money to bring my friend Kathey. We have had some adventures together and she keeps me out of trouble. This may take me some time to convince my hubby that I can do this.
How late is the Metro going to be operating this night? I would hope it would be past the usual midnight time for weekdays.
