Seems reasonable to me, too. But there is a vocal contingent that is determined to be offended unless the greeting at this time of year is "Merry Christmas" and they'll accept nothing else.
It's sad.
And how would they feel if they were living in Israel and everything was "Happy Hannukah" without one Christmas item anywhere to be found. I'm not saying we should elevate the other holidays to Christmas standards. Simple fact is that in the U.S., there are more consumers that celebrate Christmas. However, there are a lot that celebrate other holidays as well. It's not P.C. for stores to honor (and exploit) them as well as Christians.
MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Have a great Christmas Season everyone, whatever your belief. And if you don't want to celebrate Christmas with us, go to your regular job on Christmas Day and quit whining. And if there's no one else at work with you, have a great Christmas Day by yourself.
