Ping for later
See...liberals simply don't believe there is ANY life form more evolved than they are, thus GOD doesn't exist...
Go figure!
The use of this phrase shows that the author knows very little about evolutionary theory.
At least they are being consistant. I do have a problem with what they are doing, but I would have a bigger beef if they allowed this but only because it does not say God.
Agreed. The Penn GOP made a mistake in including this passage.
Oh God! Another Crevo thread. Here we go again!
The problem is not what is being taught in schools but that we are made to pay for a one size fits all plan even if we don't have children. Take government out of the education business. Let charity take care of the hard cases.
I agree with you.
I believe in creationism. I believe that God created the earth and everything on its face, including human beings. I think it takes a great deal more faith to believe in Darwin's theory of random selection than it does to believe that an all-powerful Supreme Being created all this with a purpose in mind.
I think this is funny. I think that is one hell of a stretch to say.
Anyone know what the ACLU would say about the SAP and WAP (Strong and Weak Anthropic Principle) theories? Seems that the intelligent design idea could be considered "scientific" to some extent, right?
There is no problem with science within the Christian community that I know of. There is nothing wrong with believing that God created the world in a wondrous way and we discover it all the time. It is the secularists and nincompoops that believe otherwise.

They don't actually teach in the public schools anymore; they just force feed the kids a bunch of PC nonsense. Reactions from intelligent kids in public high schools when asked about:
Scientific method: "What's that?"
Exploring and debating alternative theories: "No time..."
Learning to enjoy math as a tool: "Huh? We hate math. Doesn't everybody?"
Joining a sports team: "Of course. How else can you get into a good college?" (Grades?)
Literature: "The Color Purple is so real".
This is purely anecdotal of course, but seriously, whatever happened to a solid, classical education?
You complain about evolutionists being "dogmatic," but you won't even acknowledge what evolutionists are claiming. Evolutionists understand the "God did it" theory of the world; do you understand evolutionary theory? If so, why would the term "random selection" be capable of describing it?
First, because there is no conflict between Judaism and Christianity and evolutionary theory, as has been stated by the highest authorities in those religions time and time again. Evolution is a mechanism. It has nothing to say about how the mechanism and the physical laws that govern it were set up.
Secondly, because as a good scientific theory, there is much evidence to back up evolution, and none that contradicts it.
Thirdly, because the leading contenders have no science to back them up.

That may be the plan, but it won't work.
It flies in the face of logic: Christianity is a religion that recruits nonbelievers. It would be contradictory to the fundamentals of the religion to deliberately create an ethical divide.
Such as?
