Last night, I went to see "The Incredibles" in Century City, only, "The Incredibles" was sold out, so we saw "National Treasure" instead. It was REALLY GOOD, by the way. For anyone into American history, this was well done and interesting all the way through. Nick Cage looked good and the chick who played the main chick, Diane Kruger is VERY pretty.
Anyway, it turns out while my car was sitting in the Century City mall parking garage, some nut keyed one side of my car. Why? Could it be the "W '04" bumper sticker I still have on, since President Bush is the PRESIDENT and he WON?
Some of y'all might remember the post from August: "Dennis Prager Agrees to Put Bush/Cheney Sticker on His Lexus: LET'S ALL DO IT TODAY!!!"
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1194090/posts
It was on that day that I put the somewhat discreet "W" circle sticker on my car bumper. Up until last night, nothing had happened to my car.
I still see a LOT of Kerry/Edwards stickers on peoples cars and the "W" with the red line through it. Is anyone else still experiencing post-election liberal rage?
Follow up.
So check with mall security.
They may have the event on tape.
Hmmm. That's an interesting idea. I wonder if they have cameras in the garage. Probably do, huh. I was thinking, since this is LA, I should sue Dennis Prager. ;)(not in a million years.)
Some of the anti-Bush stickers I've seen are beyond hateful. Yet I would not damage the owner's vehicle simply because they are a slime ball.
I know more Bush supporters who have had cars keyed and worse than the opposite.
I don't know if this is related, but most of us have replaced our Bush/Cheney stickers with magnetic support our troops/God bless America ribbons. On two occasions at two different parking lots, I have come back to my car with the ribbon moved to cover the gas tank (The sport ute girl has an SUV). Oh well, I just move it back, no biggie.
I think my French teacher in high school (graduated in 1976) still has her "Don't Blame me, I voted for McGovern" bumper sticker still on her Citroen.
try some rubbing compound - might remove or minimize the marks
Had to take my "Expose Kerry's Fraud- Swiftboat veterans for the truth" off the back of my suv- I was run off the road on a main Hiway in the night- and had some looney honk- threaten to kick my husbands ass while he thrashed around in his car and chickened out when he pulled over. Since my spouse merely borrowed my car to get some milk and bread he was appalled at the second attack so far after only 2 weeks - he took it off my car that day. The peace loving left are crazy- and violent in their convictions- remember the SDS and the 60's activists - all crazy - In 94 I had someone tear up my car antenna the day I put a Newt bumper sticker on my new Lincoln Town Car-
libs would call it "justifiable rage". hope someone slits the the tires of the jerk who did this....while it's moving!
I suggest a little public embarrassment for the person who scratched your car. I'm assuming your paper publishes letters to the editor. Who ever did it might feel a twinge of guilt and it might make you feel a little better. You don't know who did it but he or she does and very likely someone else knows as well.
In your letter show yourself to be above that sort of thing. Point out that nobody likes to lose but it happens to all of us. And above all express your forgiveness of that person. (even if you don't)
There really was no other cause for inspired keying than the bumper sticker. I wasn't double parked or illegally parked, nothing.
"I think my French teacher in high school (graduated in 1976) still has her "Don't Blame me, I voted for McGovern" bumper sticker still on her Citroen."
Only if she has the car up on blocks. There's no way any liberal in the U.S. still has an operational Citroen!
That's precicely why we do not put ANY stickers on our cars.
My wife's cousin had all his magnetics swiped the other day and a few cars in my neighborhood were targeted with eggs on Halloween.
On a positive note, the Kerry-supporting lunatic down the block from me took down all his offensive signage (and by offensive I do not mean "Kerry/Edwards '04" signs, I mean "Send the Bush Whores to Iraq" signs).
I have noticed the disappearance of "random acts of kindness and senseless beauty" bumper stickers in the DC area and all kinds of hate Bush stickers in their place (on the cars of the usual suspects). I think liberals are through with their illusions of kindness and beauty. LOL!
