(Sigh)
I'd love to get more whiskey (or scotch) for the Post-Thanksgiving Holiday, but picking an american one is the pits. (and I hate taste-trying on the front end!)
What about Jack Daniels Black or reserve?

Pardon my butting in, you might like Gentleman Jack. Very smooth, not too expensive.

Depends on if you like single barrel or blended.
Stay away from Heaven Hill.
Benchmark is good for a modestly priced beverage and is a little lighter, it mixes well. Jack Daniels is excellent. Makers Mark is excellent as well.
Wild Turkey is the gold standard for my taste.
Jack Daniels, Makers Mark and Wild Turkey are premium Bourbons and are best used over ice and not as a mixer.
