Unfortunately, I didn't save the links. There has been only a tiny amount of info about it and I don't pretend to understand it all. What I was able to get from it was that they clone the atom they are teleporing and embed a marker on it. When the atom teleports, they are able to identify it from the marker.

Let me do some digging and I will see if I can find those stories. There have only been two and I think they were both published this year. I will get back to you with or without the links if I can find the stories.

Also, FWIW, Michael Crichton has a novel out that gets into teleportation and tries to explain a little more about it. The novel is called "Timeline".

This could be an example of something that is important and yet insignificant. Intelligent, advanced life could be plentiful, on an absolute scale, say a million examples and yet so thinly spread across the universe that we never will encounter it. Also, the concept of wanting to make contact with other groups could be uniquely human as it doesn't necessarily confer a survival advantage. We may be alone in terms of neighborliness

The reason why we haven't received any messages from alien civilaizations is simple. They know the Berserkers are listening! Right now these huge killer robots, led on to our existence by our EM transmissions, are hurtling towards Earth at a quarter the speed of light, they be here in a few centuries to destroy us!
