I am not a psychiatrist or psychologist (literal translation - one who makes a study of the soul), but I do not believe there is as much "mental disease" as is stated. P.E.S.T. is just the latest pseudodiagnosis that is posh. It allows the psychiatrist to use the psychiatrist equivalent of the ICD-9 for justifying billing this to a third party. Don't kid yourself. If the psychiatrist or psychologist didn't get paid, they would not be found within a mile of this.
