Psalm 119: 57-58; 65-66
You are my portion, O Lord;
I have promised to obey your words.
I have sought Your face with all my heart;
be gracious to me according to Your promise.
Do good to Your servant
according to Your Word, O Lord.
Teach me knowledge and good judgment,
for I believe in Your commands.

Holy Father,

Blessed are You, our Lord, for You have blessed Your people according to all that You have promised. Not one word of all Your good promises to us has ever failed. Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens, and Your faithfulness reaches unto the clouds. Let us sing of Your mercies forever; with our mouths let us make known Your faithfulness to all generations.

Father, we ask for Your help in forsaking the ways of the wicked, and the thoughts of unrighteousness. Help us to return unto You, our Lord, that You may have mercy upon us; and to You, our God, that You may abundantly pardon us. We praise and exalt the glory of Your grace, wherein You have made us accepted in the beloved. For through Christ, we have redemption in His blood, and the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.

May Your highest blessings be upon our President and his family this day, Great God. You have called him to this position of tremendous magnitude, and we ask that You would provide him with every good and perfect gift that he needs in order to carry out Your will in both his personal life and his life of public service. Holy Lord, surely You have measured the heavy burden he carries upon his shoulders. We are grateful that he does not bear it on his own, Lord, but that he gives it to You, that You may carry it for him. We praise You for the courage You have given him to witness for You, and we humbly ask, Father, that You would draw multitudes of people to You through his quiet, but sincere testimony. Give him boldness and courage as he meets with other leaders in Chile. Let the example he shows be one that enables others to see a glimpse of Your glory through him. Help him to seek Your face with all His heart. Be gracious to him according to Your promise and do good to this servant of Yours, O Lord. Teach him knowledge and good judgment, for his trust is in You.

Father, we know that You love a thankful heart. We are so completely grateful for our military men and women. We long to have them home, safe among us, but we know there is more work for them to do. In trust we commit them to You, confident that Your right hand will uphold them and that You will supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory through Christ Jesus.

Save the lost in this nation, God of Truth. We know not the day nor the hour of the return of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Help us to be ready. Help us to remove from our lives everything that does not honor You. We praise You for Your faithfulness in hearing our prayers and for all the mighty answers that You are making ready. To You alone be the glory! In the Name above all Names---Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen.

AMEN FAITH AND AMEN ALL!
GRACE AND GOD'S BLESSINGS TO YOU!

Ps 113:1 Praise the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD, Praise the name of the LORD!
2 Blessed be the name of the LORD From this time forth and forevermore!
3 From the rising of the sun to its going down The LORD'S name is to be praised.
4 The LORD is high above all nations, His glory above the heavens.
5 Who is like the LORD our God, Who dwells on high,
6 Who humbles Himself to behold The things that are in the heavens and in the earth?
7 He raises the poor out of the dust, And lifts the needy out of the ash heap,
8 That He may seat him with princes-With the princes of His people.
9 He grants the barren woman a home, Like a joyful mother of children. Praise the LORD!
(NKJV)

"Avoid foolish questions."
- Titus 3:9

Our days are few, and are far better spent in doing good, than in
disputing over matters which are, at best, of minor importance. The old
schoolmen did a world of mischief by their incessant discussion of
subjects of no practical importance; and our Churches suffer much from
petty wars over abstruse points and unimportant questions. After
everything has been said that can be said, neither party is any the wiser,
and therefore the discussion no more promotes knowledge than love, and it
is foolish to sow in so barren a field.
Questions upon points wherein Scripture is silent; upon mysteries which
belong to God alone; upon prophecies of doubtful interpretation; and upon
mere modes of observing human ceremonials, are all foolish, and wise men
avoid them.
Our business is neither to ask nor answer foolish questions, but to avoid
them altogether; and if we observe the apostle's precept (Titus 3:8) to be
careful to maintain good works, we shall find ourselves far too much
occupied with profitable business to take much interest in unworthy,
contentious, and needless strivings.

There are, however, some questions which are the reverse of foolish, which
we must not avoid, but fairly and honestly meet, such as these: Do I
believe in the Lord Jesus Christ? Am I renewed in the spirit of my mind?
Am I walking not after the flesh, but after the Spirit? Am I growing in
grace? Does my conversation adorn the doctrine of God my Saviour? Am I
looking for the coming of the Lord, and watching as a servant should do
who expects his master? What more can I do for Jesus? Such enquiries as
these urgently demand our attention; and if we have been at all given to
cavilling, let us now turn our critical abilities to a service so much
more profitable. Let us be peace-makers, and endeavour to lead others both
by our precept and example, to "avoid foolish questions."

C.H.SPURGEON

Lord, thank you for the leadership of this nation. Difficult as things may be, it could be far, far worse; it almost was, and we well know it. Your blessings are much appreciated.

Please be with all godly authority to protect, guide, and anoint. And be with our servicemen as well, to give sure victory.

Ps 27:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked came against me To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell.
3 Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war should rise against me, In this I will be confident.
(NKJV)

What a comforting Psalm at this time! And I understand that it is the President's favorite ... that is probably what gives him the calm and peace that we see within him,

Precious Heavenly Father, we love You and adore You! Thank you father for keeping our President safe in Chile, especially in the fracas that broke out between the Chilean police and his Secret Service Agents. Thank you for this brave man that You have given to lead our nation. Lord, keep him humble and submitted to You. Let nothing come from him that was not birthed in prayer to You. Please keep evil out of our government, and corruption out of high places of power in our nation. Lord, let us always elect principled, godly people into our elected offices.

I pray in agreement with all here, and with Faith, that you continue to watch over and guard our brave military people as they rout out and defeat the terrorists. Please let Your gospel flow freely into those places that are liberated. Please bring many to Yourself.

Please also be with Condi Rice as she bears scathing mockery in the press. Let her heart not be broken, but let her remain strong in You, knowing that in these last days, many mockers and scoffers come.

We love You and praise You and thank You, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Alpha and Omega, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Amen.
