I'm actually a little bit surprised that Rall got dropped by the Washington Post online website, considering how liberal the Post is in general.

Maybe even the Post editors felt Rall's creations are too over the top for their readers?

What, if any, is the economic significance of this to Rall?

Have you seen Rall's latest? The one where he imagines the executions of Rumsfeld, Powell, Rice and Bush.

"The idea was to draw an analogy to the electorate -- in essence, the idiots are now running the country," he told E&P.

Great defense, Ted. Someone who's too liberal for the Washington Post has really gone off the deep end.

Rall is a disgrace. His 'toons are ugly both visually and in message and content. He is in need of sedation and a restructuring of his personality. That the Wash ComPost decided to dump him is no small statement about how he consistently repulsed his viewers.

See tagline, it's an oldie but still a goodie.

Why didn't the Washington Compost get rid t of this human piece of excrement before the election? Why did it take them so long to suddenly find religion? All those angry Email's do make a difference.

This country has just gone through a little orgy of bad manners and over the top rhetoric. I think the country is tired of it and wants to just get back to normal, civil discourse.

The absurd has become boring.

hard-hitting liberal

If this means, classless, mean-spirited, arrogant, smug, tasteless and stupid, I agree.

Dear RayChuang88,

Unlike the NY Slimes, the WashPost makes an occasional stab at actual journalism.

About damn time! Now if the Compost would also drop Dana Milbank, EJ Dionne, Richard Cohen, William Rasperry, and pick up mark Steyn, I might consider re-subscribing!

Chris Muir is a much better political cartoonist. He's on break until 12/1, due to a family member's recent cancer death. Check out his past work at http://www.daybydaycartoon.com/Default.aspx

His racist Condi cartoons might have helped push him out, although the Washington Post might not want to admit it.
