I'm a foreign born citizen and I'll be the loudest to say hell no. For every true patriot that knows what he has in America and wants to optimize the opportunity given to him/herself in this country, you have 300 of these ingrates. I grew up around them. It's sickening.

As someone who was born overseas, I will explain WHY there should NOT be a change.
When you are young growing up and in school, as Rush would say, "you're a young skull full of mush!" You soak up what your are taught and that becomes your "reality".
I grew up in Cuba during the Batista dictatorship - Although I went to private schools, LaFayette (yes, it was French) and to an Irish-Catholic school (can't remember its name) I always felt that Batista was a "great man" and Castro was a murderous thug (this isn't about Castro - so let this be for now). Let's just say, Batista deserved to be shot. NY politicians protected him.
It took years of studies (non-political) to see the truth about Batista.
So????
Take Schwartzenager (sp?) now --- he grew up overseas under the tutalage of his home's government - socialistic - it shows in his manners, it shows in his preferences, and it shows in his politics. He may "feel American" but he will NEVER be free of his upbringing. Good? Bad?
My mother was from Chicago, my father from Little Rock, but would still prefer to be at the white sand beaches of Varadero, Cuba.
THAT is why you should not allow a non-native BORN American to be president.

Sure why not. If someone who's foreign born fits the bill better than a US born citizen, then why not? I do think they should reside in this country for a few years.
