I went to the New York Daily News site and read the article. At the bottom of it, it says this was written by Richard Sisk, WITH NEWS WIRE REPORTS.

That would be AP, Reuters, Agence-
France Press, etc.

I do not trust any of these people to provide an accurate quote from Ambassador Negraponte or anyone else for that matter, as it is THEY who have prejudged and will try to slant the story to cause others to do the same.

Thanks for pointing that out. I sure hope his statement has been taken out of context, or flatly misquoted. I'd hate to see a Marine railroaded for political reasons, at the expense of all our military personnel.
