My wife had a fraudulent charge against her credit card in the Netherlands last month. Somebody had tried to buy airline tickets in Amsterdam just a few days before Theo Van Gogh was brutally murdered by Islamic terrorists. We're convinced that there was a connection between the two.
Oil Spill Spreads Farther South Suspect Object Raised from River (PA/NJ/DE - 12/10/04)
By JEFF MONTGOMERY / The News Journal 12/10/2004 Spilled oil from a tanker near Philadelphia could turn up in coming days in the bay near Cape Henlopen, more than 90 miles south, federal experts said Thursday.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration made the forecast as ship handlers moved the oil tanker Athos I away from an anchorage in the Delaware River 13 days after one of the worst oil spills in the region's history.
Coast Guard officials hauled to the surface a 12-ton, U-shaped object that investigators believe tore two holes in the tanker's hull, spilling as much as 473,500 gallons of oil in the river. The rust-encrusted metal, originally described as a pipe, was tentatively identified late Thursday as the bottom half of a large industrial pump casing, according to Mike Hanson, spokesman for Tsakos Shipping & Trading. The company, based in Greece, manages the Cyprus-flagged tanker.....
An object believed to have pierced the tanker's hull arrives in Philadelphia.
The object that may have gashed the bottom of an oil tanker is lowered to a pier Thursday at a Coast Guard facility in Philadelphia. The 15-foot long piece of metal may be part of a pump casing.
O....thanks for the follow-up on that SA PR company.
Also VERY interesting is the info. in the last paragraph regarding the CLINTON connection to this company....just shocking! </sarcasm>
have they said how far apart the gashes in the hull were?
Slick measured at 2.5 miles in diameter and expanding
Updated: 9:43 a.m. ET Dec. 10, 2004ANCHORAGE, Alaska - As the search for six victims of a rescue helicopter crash was scaled back, officials on Friday turned to a growing problem stemming from the break up of a cargo ship off Alaska: a major oil spill near a sensitive wildlife refuge.
'Not easy to clean up'
The freighter was carrying 483,000 gallons of heavy bulk fuel and another 21,000 gallons of diesel fuel.
While small compared to the 11 million gallon Exxon Valdez disaster in 1989, the marine spill is thought to be the largest in Alaska since then.
The 738-foot Selendang Ayu was cleaved neatly in two, both pieces grounded upright and parallel about 200 feet from the shore near Skan Bay on the western side of Unalaska Island. Farther upshore lay the wreckage of the Coast Guard helicopter, its red fuselage blackened and barely recognizable.
The freighter belongs to Singapore-based IMC Group. IMC crew manager Loh C.W. Weng said the missing were Indian citizens Z.M. Vaz, age 46; Blaise M. Mascarenhas, 33; Narendra S. Yadav, 52; Durg V. Singh, 54; and Didlar Singh, 44. Carlos Flores Santiago, 45, is the missing crew member from the Philippines.
Oil Spill in Wea is China's 'Worst Ever'(12/10/04)
December 10, 2004 - 4:24PM Strong winds and choppy seas have hampered efforts of a government team trying to clean up a massive oil spill that officials have declared the worst-ever in Chinese waters.
Some 524,000 litres of crude oil leaked late Tuesday when a German-registered container ship, the MSC Ilona, collided with the Panama-registered Hyundai Advance, puncturing the Ilona's hull and sending its cargo streaming into the South China Sea.
The spill - 16 kilometres long and 200 metres wide - was the worst ever in Chinese waters, the official China Daily newspaper reported, citing Wang Xiangtao, director of the Guangdong Provincial Marine Bureau....
I haven't found that specific info. in any of the articles...not yet. I would also like to see pictures of the gashes in the ship.

Good morning folks. Quiet around here as usual.
Anyone think that all these oil spills are related? Seems too many to close in time.
Bump and mark for reading later.
Lot's of scary news out there.
I like your tagline...........that would be the solution to everything!!
Yes, there are some interesting news headlines today...especially the ones about lasers throughout the US..
WTF!?
They do seem close, with regard to timeframes. Also, the fact they they are all noteworthy because of the size of the spill, this info. also caught my attention.
http://www.homelandsecurityus.net/did_you_know_that_this_was_inclu.htm
IS THIS FOR REAL? If so, NObody is reporting it that I know of.
From the threads on FR, it appears some of what is included in this "report" from the other website is just plain bogus. The DOT got final authority over driver's licenses, not the DHS, but I am still researching. When I find one untruth, it usually taints the rest of it as well. Since most of CONGRESS probably couldn't read it either, it makes sense we would have trouble getting the truth.

Thank you all4one regarding your research on the oil spills.
It's very interesting.
