It's time to start dealing with traitors to the fullest extent of the law. In more rational times, Schewer's own words, would convict and sentence him to death before a firing squad.
Enemies from without- Bin Laden and others, are not half the threat to our survival that Sewer boy Schewer and other bottom feeders within our Security agencies are.
They shouldn't be fired-they should be fired "at" by expert marksmen, as the target of firing squads.

I don't know if this article constitutes the entire interview, but I don't see much to complain about. Yes, he's way off course on the matter of our deep and abiding relationship with Israel, but other than that, look at the time line he talks about.
All the problems, at least the genisis of the problems - all of them - ocurred on the Clinton watch! Richard Clarke and George Tenent are singled out by name as being responsible for screw-ups.
I know this guy actively worked against the President during the election and that is completely unacceptable and he has now deservedly been fired, but I think there may be some things that he is saying that we should listen to.
We're supposed to believe this man? He was in charge of finding Bin Laden since 1996 and yet 9-11 happened under his watch. Why on earth would CBS even give this guy air time?

With statements like the following this country is not being served properly by the CIA.

Read it again. He didn't say dump Israel. He said we need to stop giving them a blank cheque, which is true. Most all of the Arab resentment towards the US is because of Israel. Arabs have zero historical problem with the US, their grudge is against the UK. Until there is peace in Israel/Palestine, this is going to get worse. The US must come down very hard on Israel and the Palestinians to create a workable peace.
And that doesn't tell you something?

Found lying on the roadside yesterday (11/11) was weasel leader Mike Scheuer, who wrote the Bush-trashing “Imperial Hubris” book under the pseudonym “Anonymous.” While a lot of what Scheuer wrote was right on the mark, namely his withering criticism of the FBI and of senior agency guys (like Tenet) doing the CYA dance over 9/11, he twisted it all into bashing Bush and making an argument for John Kerry-type terrorism-is-a-nuisance-and-law-enforcement problem. That the CIA Review Office allowed him to write this book is a scandal never to be repeated under Sheriff Goss’s watch.
But even better news than the departure of the CIA weasels is the departure of their counterparts on the National Security Council of the White House. Bob Blackwill’s sudden resignation from the NSC, where he was Bush’s key advisor on Iraq and Iran, is a cause for real celebration.
Scheuer is not credible. He is also an example of how messed up the CIA is and has been since the Clinton administration neutered the agency. Scheuer is an idiot that thinks he knows all that there is to know about Bin Laden and muslim terror and the middle east and Iraq and it is clear from his own mouth he knows very little and is an irrelevant little man who would like the old media to believe he speaks with the authority of the CIA and all that the conjures up. Nothing to see here folks, move along.
