I know it is a rollercoaster to even go through this. But everyone knows in the end, Bush HAS won Ohio. So lets keep it all in perspective and just watch the "fun". Be real, if there was even a 1% chance Kerry could have won by contesting Ohio, he would have done it. Many have already pointed out, but look at FL in 2000. With all the recounts for 6 weeks, just in democratic counties, best Gore could do was pickup a 1000 votes or so. Now how realistic would it be that Kerry could NET over 130k? If there was some error of that amount, it would already be known. So what about provisionals, spoiled ballots, etc? Even the ones that do get counted, will break in about the same proportion as the results so far.
Just enjoy watching the hard core crazies at DU get all excited about the possibility of Kerry winning after all. This just means we get to watch them get their unrealistic hopes crushed once again. And we didn't even have to wait 4 more years to see them cry again.

Exactly. Let 'em have their fun. Then at least the Dims will have to accept the reality that Bush won "legitimately" (which some of them STILL won't do), and quit whining about "counting the vote in Ohio."

This - from a friend in Nashua, New Hampshire:
The GOP keeps trying to get a basic "show some ID" requirement at the polls but it always gets defeated. I think with the increased reports of fraud potential, there may be some momentum across the country to get better quality control on the process. If some vote fraud gets proven in the state, it may be the push needed to get something like this passed.
I will say that the new voter numbers across Nashua were huge. I worked the poll in my ward and people were constantly asking "is this where we register?", and "is this where we vote?" as they went by.
There were also a very high number of non-english speaking people coming to vote (this ward has a growing minority population). Doesn't mean they aren't legit voters, but since you have to pass an English test to become a citizen, it did raise a lot of questions among the folks standing with signs.
