DUBAI (Reuters) - Arabic television Al Jazeera said on Tuesday it will not air a video showing a gunman killing a woman, believed to be British-Iraqi hostage Margaret Hassan.
"We will not air the tape because we respect the audience's feelings," said an Al Jazeera official, whose channel earlier announced it had received a tape of the killing. "We can not be certain that the woman is Margaret Hassan," he added.
Checkmate?
WILL THE TRAITORS AT NBC AIR THE TAPE?
Wounded insurgent my a$$
He was a terrorist who refused to surrender and vowed to blow himself up and kill Americans right to the bitter end...
He was playing dead...
He refused to surrender and he was trying to sucker the victims in....
His ploy didnt work a Marine did his duty and the tango did not kill anymore of our guys...
Any dead 'tango' under any circumstances makes for a story with a happy ending...
Everytime a terrorist is killed the taxpayers and the companies that hire contractors of lots of money...should put a grand into a carefully monitored college fund for widows and orphans of our war in Iraq- war on terror
imo
Reflects badly on the islamic murdering pigs explains why al Jazeera won't show the video.
Thanks for the contact post (back at you). We need to do more than just chat amongst ourselves.
Free Republic. It's about activism, not socialism.
Only to us. There is a real cultural difference here: to us, those who kill the unarmed and the weak are cowards. To them, it's apparently a mark of strength to reduce someone to quavering helplessness and then kill them. Mercy is a sign of weakness. And they are so damaged by their sick religion and culture that it's an asset to make sure you are stronger than your victim to begin with. That's my take on it.
The US has accorded POW status to people who should be summarily executed -- and would have been be in any previous war. These "insurgents" deserve no more leniency than the VC recieved from the Vietnamese police chief in the famous Eddie Adams photo from the Viet Nam War.
These "wounded prisoners" were fighting without uniform, had turned a house of worship into a fortress and were part of a group that had feigned surrender to kill soldiers, had kidnapped and murdered civilians, and routinely violated every norm of warfare.
Furthermore, the "wounded prisoner" was not in the custody and control of a friendly unit, rather the Marines had come upon them, not knowing their status and having had one of their own killed in an attack by a supposedly dead insurgent the day before.
Additionally, there is ample evidence that any American soldier or Marine captured by the insurgents would be killed. Pfc. Matthew Maupin was captured by the insurgents after an attack and is reported to have been murdered by these same insurgents.
Well, we can't do that; the station is located inside a country that happens to be an ally (sort of).
Now that the 'Rats are getting cleaned out of the CIA, time for some black ops. Any ideas?
When are we going to send a damn cruise missle into thier freaking broadcasting tower.
Even ABC News recognized the hypocrisy of that.
WE could say we (sort of) missed the true target... followed by,
"OOPS! We're so sorry, Uncle Al Jaz."
Any Ideas? Loads. Call in the A-Team.
