We are really soul searching on the issue. If he gets asked he will tell the truth. He could get a fake ID, but that is too Democrat for sure. We think we may have too much at stake to take the risk. I would give him his choice of cabinet spots or ambassadorships then he could run in 2016 after my second term. We have a while to think about it.

I understand Sanford is unmarried. I like his stances and I think he would make a wonderful President, but how will this weigh in with the whole "Family Values" crowd that got President Bush elected this time around?
I think Sanford is one of our best contenders out there...How does he stand with the population that elected him? Who would Sanford run with? I think a good solid candidate from the West or Midwest? Maybe Senator Thune or Ensign or Gordon Smith? Or if he manages to win...Governor Rossi?

Yes, you can count on my support for Gov. Sanford...
