I love Savage he gets you pissed off. He isnt afraid to be PC and not say anything that will "offend" people like the rest of the republican talk show host. He also wont carry the water for the republican party nor does he care about getting invited to there 20,000 meals.

I think the younger generations like him because he's more conservative.

"No one else in the talk shows is doing anything in regards to Specter."

Savage brings this up all the time.

Character assassination is a tactic used by those who cannot refute the substance of the opponent's argument.

I've seen very little direct criticism of Savage's commentary, just rantings about him being bi-polar or wrong about facts.

How about some specific examples?

Yeah when will Rush talk about Bush going to the opening of Bill's Libary... YOU WONT!. Of course Savage did and so far during Bush new term he dosent look like he will get more conservative if anything were getting hints he will become more left. You wont here that from the water carrying Limbaugh. Who was the guy that endorsed the true conservative Tom McClintock not Limbaugh.. Savage. Savage is a true conservative the rest of the host carry water for the Republicans.

Rush is more interesting when he talks about football or his peeves. Others enjoy him and I don't begrudge that, but as a news commentator he's usually 24 to 72 hours behind, unless something breaks in the middle of his show.

...without Limbaugh and Hannity, we'd be preparing fer a Kerry presidency come January...MUD

I read this and tried not to laugh; I really did. I will never understand why some Freep sheep bow at the altar of Sean Hannity. He is the USA Today of talk radio.

That's nice. Hannity's a pleasant but unlistenable lightweight. Medved is increasingly tinny. Gallagher is inane. Bill Bennett is painfully awkward. O'Reilly is a dolt. Hugh Hewitt is solid, but is so enamored of his inside game he often overlooks the populist undercurrents.

Laura Ingraham consistently mops the floor with all of them, and she's funnier to boot.

Rush Limbaugh is a Republican apologist. A lackey for whatever is put forth by those in the party. When he becomes relevant again, please let me know.

There was a time when Rush was incredibly funny, and incisive. That time has long since passed.

To become relevant again, Rush needs to push those ideals that conservatives have long posited as their values. Smaller govt, fiscal conservatism and the devolution of power to the grass roots.

Republicans are exactly like the Democrats in one critical aspect, they crave power, and once in possession of it, they strive to maintain it at any cost. I remember Rush saying in the 2000 election cycle, that if the Republicans had control of both houses, and the Presidency, and still did not begin the job of trimming the Federal Government, he would THEN support an alternative. WELL RUSH, when is it time?

Michael Medved is a genius. He talks to liberals to expose their flawed ideology. He will debate anyone, anywhere, anytime. He has been on Al Franken's show three times, but Al won't return the favor. Medved is so effective because he will take apart a liberal while talking in a quiet NPResque subdued tone of voice.

If Medved could ever make it to the MSM, he could do some real damage. I would love to see him on Fox, or on Crossfire.

I listen to Medved everyday on internet radio http://www.krla870.com/default.asp. Their daily lineup includes Laura Ingraham, Dennis Prager, Michael Medved, Hugh Hewitt, and then Michael Savege. Wow, that's four conservative Jews in a row! Who'd a thunk it!

Savage still makes me laugh though. Last night, a caller was complimentary to Savage, and Savage thanked him and rather cut the call short. He was depressed.

But then he starts going on about how he, yes HE, knew what his audience wanted. (And I'm thinking, "O.K. he's going to start bloviating, it's time to change the channel.") He says "I KNOW what will engage the listener to THINK as you're driving home in your car........or sitting in a prison cell."

I was busting up. He was too depressed to even launch into his chest-beating tirade.

I've listened to him since he was local to SF, though not so much lately. I still enjoy him on occaisionally, but I know he's going to end up in a padded cell some day.

Laura is another one I just LOVE listening to. Michael would be very "dangerous" in the MSM to be sure.

Let us ask, if the Left was given a choice of ending the career of either Michael Savage or Rush Limbaugh, whom would they choose?

Good question. No contest... I truly believe the left actually LOVES having Savage around... He blasts the GOP almost as much as the Dems, and he epitomizes/validates everything the left says about conservatives- that we're mean, self-centered, intolerant, and way radical...
