Character assassination is a tactic used by those who cannot refute the substance of the opponent's argument.

I've seen very little direct criticism of Savage's commentary, just rantings about him being bi-polar or wrong about facts.

How about some specific examples?

One thing that has bothered me about Savage for a long time is that on (for instance) Wednesday, he'll bring up some specific details that were on FR on Monday, and then say "You haven't heard this before. This is the only place you'll hear this." etc.

And I have heard on several occasions something that was nearly lifted from FR, with him taking credit for it. That bothers me a lot.
