I made the mistake of listening to Savage again last night, and he AGAIN blasted Rush Limbaugh, calling his show really boring, calling him a fat loudmouth, "Mr. Gulfstream", saying no one wanted to hear Limbaugh talk about the election anymore...
He said a few more things, but the exact verbiage escapes me.
He also said numerous times that he will not discuss politics anymore, then quickly goes into it. He also took yet another series of swipes at President Bush and Arnold S.
He claims that Arnold has a big ego, is a disgrace, and has done NOTHING for California. He also says that his approval rating is disastrous, not nearly as high as the polls.
This guy, Michael Weiner, er Savage, is the disgrace. He's a bi-polar nut-job, who has the biggest ego this side of O'Reilly.
What a jackass.
I came to the conclusion long ago that either Savage was a completely obnoxious loudmouth bordering on the insane or else he was a hack putting on a schtick for his listeners..either way I cant stand the man and dont ever waste my time listening to him.
His constant bashing of Bush rivaled the 527 groups... He supports the Swift Vets on one hand, yet doesn't think there's a hair of difference between Bush and Kerry
For someone with that much influence, 10 million listeners, telling them there's no difference is disgraceful...
His ego is far bigger than even O'Reilly's...

You're a fellow NYer, so I don't want this to get testy, but your measure of his brilliance being Kagan, is how shall I put it? Unconvincing. As I said though, any NYer conservative is ok in my book, so we'll just have to agree to disagree.

I think he is, but then again it may just be his schtick. No one, I mean no one can remain perpetually angry all the time without blowing a gasket.
It's an act worthy of Oscar consideration, played to a specific audience. I'm not part of that audience.

You're absolutely right....on every point. Savage is a no talent lunatic. I have no idea how he ever got a syndicated radio gig. He's an embarassment.
By the way, the one change I'd make to my ratings is to elevate Laura Ingraham. She's the only one that surpasses Rush, IMO. She's a FANTASTIC mix of humor, wit, and information. Easy on the eyes too.

There is a reason Rush is #1, it's not just merely b/c he was the pioneer. Matter of fact it's not even close between him and Hannity(#2), whom I also enjoy.
Savage is too incendiary. If I want to hear a hack calling people whom he disagrees w/ names and demeaning them, I'll watch the Chris Matthews show. If I want to hear substance and logic, I won't listen to Savage.
Moreover, I heard Savage say back in April/May(?) when things were going really bad, we needed to pull all troops from Iraq. Declare a French victory and get out. I don't think I have to convince anyone around here what a disaster that would be.
