I don't believe he is apostate....yet. He is conscious of the spiritual realm and acknowledges the power of religion. I personally believe he is "born-again" and has been in rebellion against the Holy Spirit's conviction for years. It might take a death or other tragedy (like what happened to Eric Clapton and Bob Dilan) before he comes back to God. And if he does, what a clamor his re dedication would make - ( Because I don't think God would allow him to remain quiet about it) It would be bigger than when the "Galloping Gourmet" got saved years ago.

Well, apparently he goes to Episcopal services (he isn't of Scandinavian ancestry and it's said that he has never been a Lutheran). He certainly does have a fascination with religion that's rare in the media. So perhaps he'll see the light at some point, but for now politics looks like the main thing on his mind.
