Speaking in the aftermath of the presidential election, Democrat radio host Garrison Keillor says he is on a quest to take away the right of born-again Christians to vote, saying their citizenship is actually in heaven, not the United States.
Keillor, host of the popular National Public Radio show "A Prairie Home Companion," made the comments during a speech at Chicago's Rockefeller Memorial Chapel and during his radio monologue the Saturday after the election.

Good thing we still reserve the right to shoot morons just in case they actually do manage to abrogate the Constitution.
Note to Woebegon: If I can't vote with a ballot I'm perfectly willing to vote with a bullet. At least with a ballot I'll only vote once.
Ann Coulter said it best: Liberals are people who think that there's one set of rules for them and a completely different set of rules for everyone else.
How utterly pathetic American lefties are! Their hatred and irrationality eventually will destroy them, I trust, but not before they've done as much damage as they can. The extremely unfunny Keillor should be "defunded" a.s.a.p. Enough NPR, PBS, et al. There are much better uses for the funds.
Here's my answer to him: Forbid the following to vote: Illegal immigrants; those with the mentality of rocks; and most importantly: all registered DEMONCRATS!
"Liberals shouldn't have the right to vote, either. They're "world citizens", not American citizens."
Well said.
Lake Wobegon - where the parents are intolerant bigots and the children are raised as NAZI's
Still seething and whining, I see...
(I dare them to come down here to try to deny ME my right to vote... let me just say these nutjobs will be coughing up splinters when I got done with them!)
a reminder why i stopped listening to national propaganda radio years ago.
...But if I had to relinquish one, it would not be the one to come.
From the look of him he must have been standing under a hole in the ozone too long.
Idiots shouldn't be allowed to vote either. That leaves this whiny bird out.
I say the Libs should not be allowed freedom of speech because this should qualify as hate speech based on religion.
Hey Geilor,
Go take a nice long walk in the lake and drown your silly demented self
Liberal believe only atheists should have a political opinion due to separation of Church and State. Just heard that on 760Am KTLK, "Boudlers Progressive Talk" on Al Franken's show. I listen to the moron to try to understand what the liberals will try next.
Al said that Bush has a personal religious opinion and that should disqualify him from public service.
BTW, I wonder if a public radio station can have a Democrat only line-up as part of their "serving the genreal public and interest" required by the FCC for a broadcasting license?
NPR.. hmmm... isn't his salary paid by the tax-payers of this country? I think programming should be informative, not political, if NPR and PBS are going to receive government financing.
What a gig he's got with the PHC. Same stale jokes recycled for decades. What a yawn fest.
Someone should take this up with Lands' End, which sponsors the show. Since the bulk of Lands' End's customer base is red-state moms, their marketing folks might not be amused by Keillor's antics.
FWIW, Keillor is an apostate Christian. Despite his jokes about Lutherans and Norwegians, he was raised in a family of Scottish and English background that attended a Plymouth Brethren church, an early dispensationalist group.
Are you sure he wasn't joking? I'll bet he was. If so, we need to lighten up.
I don't think you can be born that ugly. I think you have to earn it.
