The excerpt on this linked thread is not new (it is from George W. Bush's autobiographical book A Charge to Keep I Have, written several years ago) but it is worth re-reading.

George Bush testimony

"I have also learned the power of prayer. I pray for guidance. I do not pray for earthly things, but for heavenly things, for wisdom and patience and understanding."

Heavenly Father, we, too, pray for wisdom, patience, and understanding for our President, both in his private life and in the weightiness of his public responsibilities. Lead and guide him as he seeks to do Your will.

We continue to lift up to You our men and women in uniform as they battle an enemy that is deceitful and treacherous, preferring the darkness of oppression to the light of freedom. Amen.
