Send him back to Austria where he can run for president there.

I think you're right. Like all that "Bush will bring back the draft" and missing ammo talk, it will vanish once it's served it's purpose.

I haven't heard much, but I expect to hear a lot of it if she wins again in 06.

Unfortunatly, I think it's a long shot for her to lose. The top target is Stabmenow who only won with 49% in 2000.

Lissa Morgenthaler-Jones was a volunteer and donor for both Arnold's Proposition 49 campaign and his 2003 gubernatorial campaign. She did everything from calling donors and throwing fund-raisers to carrying signs and cheering at rallies behind Arnold.

Lissa comes from a long line of citizens with an attitude: her grandmother ran for the Senate in 1946, her mother hijacked an Iowa caucus to vote for Eisenhower, and her father led the effort in 1975 to reduce the capital gains tax from 48% to 28%. (When Congress passed the reduction in 1978, it caused a huge increase in venture capital. This helped create Silicon Valley and the 17 million new jobs Ronald Reagan was so proud of during his administration.)

Lissa is a former #1 mutual fund manager, specializing in biotechnology, and has written for Barron's and TheStreet.com.

Tell you what... you let us know the instant Arnold says he would like to run for President

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/10/28/60minutes/main652046.shtml

He is ineligible to run for president. Would he like to be able to? Would he like to see an amendment to the Constitution?

"Yes. Absolutely," says Schwarzenegger. "I think, you know, because why not? Like with my way of thinking, you always shoot for the top. But it's not something that I am preoccupied with. I am not thinking one single minute about that. Because there's so many things I have to do in California, and my promise was to straighten out the mess in California."

Mimi Chen did volunteer work for Arnold's 2003 gubernatorial campaign, working as a spokesperson. She also comes from a long line of political badboys: her grandfather was Governor of Hubei Province and went on to become "the Thomas Jefferson of Taiwan."

(He wrote the Constitution for the Taiwan government. And he's revered not only by the KMT but by Communist China for being one of the original 36 revolutionaries who, with Sun Yat-Sen, overthrew dynastic rule. There's even a statue of Granddad with pigeons sitting on it somewhere in Taiwan!)

Mimi got her master's degree in journalism from Columbia and was a well-known deejay on San Francisco's KRQR and Los Angeles' KSCA before taking a sabbatical to mother her daughters.

It's a short step from allowing a foreign born person to run for President to allowing a foreign born non-resident to run for President. A slippery slope that must be avoided at all costs.

I agree with you, this is a bad idea. There is a reason the Constitution provides for a native-born C-in-C ... no complicated loyalties in wartime. And Ah-nold has not proven himself an adequate Governor yet. Of course - I'm biased - I voted for McClintock and would do so again.

Cute... quoting a 60 Minutes hit-piece LOL

I'm totally against him running for President, but I'm going to need a bit more credible evidence than that before I start slamming the man. Of course, some folks here don't need anything silly like evidence...

NO NO NO NO NO!!

If a person wasn't fortunate enough to be born here .. that's too bad .. but that doesn't mean we should amend our founding documents just because some people happen to like Arnold. Good grief!

Arnold's words, on camera, and you still dismiss it. Amazing.
What flavor of kool-aid is that?

I'd love to see Engler take a stab at that race.

I thought that he would have made a great running mate for Bob Dole back in '96 and am still shocked that he wasn't offered a job in the Bush administration.

Arnold is unique. No matter how good an idea it may seem when applied to a specific person, one needs to think longterm. What if a certified Commie becomes popular amongst the Left? With the things as they are in DNC now, I wouldn't discount the possibility (they are getting more and more radical.) Before changing the constitution, look for the viable (and workable) alternatives.

Yes. Obama was born in HI. Who the Dems really want to run is the female Gvoernor of Michigan, who was born in Canada but has spend her whole life here. I think her name is Granholm.
