I don't like the US Marines being slandered. That's why it matters. Even the original "hit piece" by this retarded journalist states the marine said "he's gone", indicating the enemy had LEFT. Shooting at NOTHING and shooting at a wounded terrorist in this case is the difference between exposing a LIE, and telling the TRUTH. That's what this is about.
The Marine clearly says "he's done", not "he's gone", no matter what was printed. Having said that, I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with a soldier dispatching an "wounded insurgent" (if in fact that is what happened here). As has been pointed out already, you don't leave it to chance in that scenario, you KILL the enemy.
