Unless they have been in similiar situations . . . . . . . Many was the time in Vietnam when bodies were boobie trapped with frags. Roll them over to see if they were alive or dead and "BANG" you are DEAD. This Marine was a smart one and is now a live one. If the brass have any sense of gonads they will simply tell him not to do this with cameras around. Better yet, get the reporters off the battlefield one way or another.

Our SOP was to pumpkin head the "body" to be searched for any IED. If the body wasn't clearly "ripe" and didn't respond to commands in the local language then a 230 grain message was sent to the motors. A folding grappling hook and a hundred feet of line then made a remote pull safer.

Presstitutes ........doom on em all.

Yeah... Talk about 'armchair quarterbacking'.

If the 'Coup de Grace' wasn't occasionally used, it wouldn't have it's own name.
