It's impossible to seal our borders. Think about it. You would need to have millions of US soldiers, patrolling both Mexico & Canada. You would need to build millions of miles of wall barriers, which would take a couple of decades. The manpower requirement would mean a draft. That won't happen. You would have to reduce shipper container access to US ports. That would tank our economy. Also, everyone focuses on the Mexican border. However, what about OBL & company using a submarine to smuggle a nuke somewhere on the East or West coast? Let's suppose you could seal the US borders. This would prevent millions of Mexicans who work here from making a living. This would cause an economic collapse in Mexico. This could give rise to a communist Mexico. President Bush has the right attitude. We must be on the offensive. You try to manage the borders, like a funnel.
And your answer to the concept that foreign nationals (if you believe there is such a thing) coming into the country uninvited and taking up residence is.....?
No, you are wrong!!
Two Walls/Fences approx 15 ft high with land mines and motion detectors in between the Walls/Fences! Razor wire in front of the fence facing Mexico- Canada with motion detectors. Quick response teams with choppers placed about 10 milesor more apart. Work on it it will work a few land mines can go a long way!!
We can put warehouses just inside the borders so that trailers from the outside countries can drop off their trailers, unload them inspect them and out them on US Trailers for distribution in the US. IT CAN BE DONE -- We just have to want to do it!!
LOL, the circumference of the earth is only 25,000 miles.
Good point.

You can fax your representative for FREE. They ARE making a difference and shutting down Pro-Open Borders laws in the Congress.
The service is free and they will email you updates when any legislation is brewing. They are slowly becoming and NRA type group to protect our borders. Congress is starting to fear this group because voters are fed up.
My county taxes include a large amount for the county hospitals which provide free health care for illegals.

No amnesties!
That's no reason to do nothing. We can at least slow it down considerably.
We have to TRY!
To put a 3-man team every mile along the entire Mexican border, working 24/7 in 3 shifts, capped at 200 days total work per man would require...
Total # shifts/mile = 3*365 = 1095 shifts/mile
Total number of miles = 2000 miles
Total shifts = 2,190,000
At 3 men per shift, total men = 32,850
Given that the Federal government employs 3 million people, requiring only 32,850 to secure the Mexican border is insignificant.
The logistics of securing the border are not the issue. It's strictly a matter of political will.
1. Many of our borders are self-sealed. The desert handles most of the southern border, the ice the northern. We just neeed to fill in the blanks
2. The idea is when they get here, THAT THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO AND NOWHERE TO WORK. Throw some businessmen in jail, fine others, into bankruptcy if necessary.
3. Regular sweeps, like we used to do in the 70s. Those who are using someone else's identity go to jail for 3-5, the rest go home.
Don't be silly. Nobody expects an impenetrable border, just an inhopsitable one and difficult one. Internally, we want it more difficult for illegals to work.
A guest worker program is a great idea; the Mexicans can come legally to work at the jobs for which they were recruited; but they shouldn't be allowed to sign up for work while they are already here.
