that's because nowadays everybody is looking for somebody to sue. A big city has deep pockets.

It's a catch-22 for police officers now a days. You're wrong if you do, you're wrong if you don't Partly due to lazy citizens that don't do their part in raising their children, or supporting the true 'peace officers' in their community.
And partly due to the increasing numbers of JBTs becoming cops and bullying citizens, creating resentment among the populace.
