I don't ever recall seeing a smoking history mentioned in any articles on Cheney's health. Not disputing it, probably contributed to his coronary artery disease, but I just don't recall reading about it before.

I read it before when he had the heart attack during the Florida recount. I thought though the way those articles read that he had smoked given it and probably occasionally smoked since but I thought by 2000 he was not smoking but I may have got that wrong.
