Is Rush Marrying Again So Quickly?
WaPo and NY Daily News ^

Posted on 11/13/2004 7:00:02 AM PST by Yaelle

From the New York Daily News:

ARE RUSH Limbaugh and CNN's Daryn Kagan talking marriage? According to U.S. News & World Report, friends of the couple say Kagan could become the fourth Mrs. Limbaugh as soon as the divorce from his third wife, Marta, comes through. Word is the right-wing flight commander has asked Kagan's family for clearance for take-off...

From the Washington Post:

Well, well, well. Rush Limbaugh and CNN newsgal Daryn Kagan's hot and heavy (not to mention surprising) romance is escalating, says U.S. News & World Report's Paul Bedard. Whispers of happily ever after are in the air, and apparently Limbaugh has even talked to Kagan's fam about their future, which can start just as soon as the conservative radio king's third divorce is finalized.

Why doesn't he just write her a check?

...ahem, yeah like Bill O'Reilly did. (LOL)

Men, silly things aren't they. *waves out to flying butterfly ears*

Because it's his life to live as he wishes?

Thank you!

i think it's a mistake. what's wrong with dating? marriage is way too devalued already.

This is all gossip anyways. Who knows if he's marrying her.

My problem is that she is a lib, and lib women ruin conservative men, just look at Barry Goldwater and John McLaughlin.

One would think that by 50 or so a guy would start to suspect his own hormonal reactions. After trudging up 'love's' mountain only to be thrown off a cliff every time ... the enquiring mind should stop to analyize the process.

Personally I trust my spiritual senses more than my hormonal proddings. Now this is a lot like staying away from good whiskey. If it's in the cupboard then around 6:30 pm I start thinking about a drink. I never have this feeling in the middle of the day when near a liquor store. So most of the time it stays out of the cupboard. One's spiritual ears don't work very well when one is living in the fast lane. As a recovering addict (I'm addicted to just about all pleasure and sensuality) I find I do better living the quiet contempletive life. If I was one who blew out both my ears eating a hundred or so oxycotins per day just six months ago I think I would keep myself on a very short leash indeed.

Rush is obviously a hedonist. He betrays this about himself regularly. He is also a very unknowledgable Christian if indeed truly saved at all. He does not hold the Bible as the inerrant word of God (heard him say a few years ago that the book of Revelations is not devinely inspired) and is obviously not listening to Jesus's voice at all in his life.

He is a talented and thoughtful entertainer. Something about that seems to be emotionally crippling for a lot of people. He deserves to be happy but may not be able to see it.

Good luck Rush, you've given a lot of people comfort, wish we could return that favor now.

Why does he have to get married so fast?

Because he can afford it. The Bush tax cuts make it so.

I am sure Rush is not easy to live with. I'm also sure that a wife whose husband is ridiculed in the MSM 24/7, with over 500,000 death treats against him makes it worse.
Kagan is used to public scrutiny and assorted media bull$hit, and works long hours, so they have a chance.

Who said anything about Rush not having a private life? He has one.

Should Rush happen upon this thread, he would probably think we are all stupid idiots for caring what he does behind closed doors.

However, he should know that we care about him and a little red flag is going up. It really doesn't seem that he's taken enough time with all that's behind him. We hate to see him take a stumble. He deserves lasting contentment, not incredible UPS and DOWNS.

Think twice, Rush. Hang in there. Have a good time but take life slowly right now.

he is entitled to his life, i can't argue with that. but the seriatim weddings are a bit hard to justify. in my opinion i don't even think she is cute. and i have to say i do not respect conservative men that marry liberal women. and vice versa obviously.

Statement: "....I hate to sound preachy but I think this "quickie-divorce" culture is killing our society...."

Response: Yep!

Comment: However, some say "quickie Divorces and Marriages" are merely a symptom of a society that is already dying.

Not Rush. He's got a plan to subvert her and the whole CNN bunch.

I am sure Rush is very much like you. A bighearted lover of life with an addictive personality. And when you are wealthy, why not just go for exactly what you want ALL THE TIME? Well, Rush tried that and it failed him miserably. His court case is still not over.

I hope these rumors are not true.

To Rush:

I say to you "go for it!" I wish you much happiness.

Since you didn't ask my advice, I should not be giving any, BUT if you were to ask me, I suggest you try to work in some CODA meetings if you can.

Co-dependency -- the mother of all addictions. (It takes one to know one.)

Sincerely,

You said seriatim :-)

in my opinion i don't even think she is cute.

Rush could do better, but let's face it he's no Mel Gibson himslef.

and i have to say i do not respect conservative men that marry liberal women. and vice versa obviously.

Interesting question for you: What about Mary Matalin?

and works long hours

In Atlanta. Maybe a weekend marriage sounds good at this point to Rush. Maybe she is planning to quit and have his babies. Still, red flags.
